11U Mosquito - 2025 Season - Co-Ed & For players born in 2014 & 2015
Description:
- Base paths are set at 60 feet and pitchers throw from 46 feet.
- Games are a minimum of five (5) and not more than six (6) innings in length.
- 11U (Mosquito) division is a fun transition to learning the skills to play real baseball including pitching, back catcher, hitting a pitched ball, stealing bases and backing up other positions.
- A regular baseball is used at this level.
- Pitch count rules are in effect to protect the young pitcher’s arms from injury.
- No lead offs are allowed and players cannot steal until the ball crossed the plate on a pitch.
- The Spring Season runs from early April to mid/late June.
- Evaluations are held before the season starts for player placement in the appropriate grouping and to ensure balanced teams.
- Summer Ball will be offered for both 1st and 2nd year 11U players. Players must have been registered in Spring season to be eligible for summer teams.
- Evaluations and selection are conducted in mid June and play during the month of July.
- Full commitment is required/expected by players for Summer Ball.
Equipment Required:
- Baseball glove
- Batting helmet with double ear flaps and a chin strap or C-Flap (chin protector)
- Batting gloves
- Jock or jill
- Molded Cleats
- Bat that follows these guidelines: 11U 32 inch, 2 3/4 inch max diameter, unlimited length/weight drop - Must have "USSSA 1.15 BPF (Bat Performance Factor)" stamp OR "USA" Stamp

11U Mosquito House Rules
- The first 2 innings to be pitched by first year pitchers.
- All other pitching will follow BC Minor Rules
- 1-25 pitches - no rest
- 26-40 pitches - 2 nights rest
- 41-55 pitches - 3 nights rest
- 56-65 pitches - 4 nights rest
- 66-75 pitches - 5 nights rest
- Night of game is considered a rest
- No stealing home until May 1st. After this only after third inning.
- No Leadoffs, stealing only after ball has crossed home plate
- Once a player has been walked back to base and ball is thrown back to pitcher the play is dead
- Slide or Avoid rule for stealing bases
- No head first slides
- Each player has to play 3 defensive innings, can't sit 2 consecutive innings
- Player to play at least 2 innings in the infield unless it is unsafe to do so.
- Run Limits
- 1-2 innings - 2 runs
- 3-5 innings - 4 runs
- 6th inning - open (unless 5 is open)
- For tied games one additional open inning
- Games may be called early due to darkness
